Bobby English, founder of Optimum Personal Care (OPC) in 1995, recognized a need for a community offering complete care in the assisted living industry. English started this journey in honor of his late Aunt Gladys, an elderly family friend to whom Bobby became very close. In between work and school, he spent his days in her company. He has fond memories of the particular annual trips he made to her home to put up her Christmas tree; it was their cherished tradition for many years. Later, Aunt Gladys bestowed resources to English which became the startup capital for Optimum Personal Care’s first location in Missouri City, Texas.
To this day, a picture of Aunt Gladys hangs in Bobby’s office, still inspiring him daily as he supports families in transition and cares for their loved ones as he would his own. By offering the most significant level of hands-on personal care, Bobby has created a community that provides a sense of peace, comfort, and belonging for families and their loved ones. In addition, OPC understands the roles friendship, respect, and a sense of purpose can have on our resident’s physical and mental well-being.
